The study progress requirement implies that you must complete 100% of your pre-Master’s program within one academic year. Because of this requirement you will receive a binding study progress decision from the Examination Committee at the end of your academic year.

Advice 1
At the end of your pre-Master’s program you have successfully completed 100% of all pre-Master’s courses. You receive a positive study progress decision. You are allowed to enroll in the Master’s program Systems & Control.
Advice 2
At the end of your pre-Master’s program you have less than 100% of all pre-Master’s courses completed. You receive a binding negative study progress decision.
This implies you cannot continue your pre-Master’s program in the subsequent academic year. In addition you may not re-register for any of the departmental pre-Master’s programs (ME/MW, AT, S&C and SET) for a period of three years.
In the situation that you still have to complete maximally one course or study component at the end of your pre-Master’s program, the Examination Committee may grant you with an additional examination opportunity for this final course. Please ask your academic advisor for more information about this exception.
Advice 3
At the end of your pre-Master’s program you have less than 100% of all pre-Master’s courses completed. You receive a binding negative study progress decision.
However it is possible that due to extenuating personal circumstances (which occurred during your pre-Master’s program) your progress has been delayed. If this is the case, please report your personal circumstances (preferably in an early stage) to your academic advisor and to the student counselor. If the Examination Committee decides to give you a postponed recommendation, you are allowed to complete your pre-Master’s program in the subsequent academic year.
