ISBEP (Innovation Space Bachelor End Project)

At the TU/e, students are being prepared to become the engineers of the future. TU/e innovation Space is the location where teams of students collaborate on innovative solutions to societal challenges. Our projects are proposed by researchers, companies, and governments searching for innovative solutions to today's and tomorrow's challenges. By working together in groups, practicing entrepreneurship, and applying your knowledge in real-world scenarios, you will develop additional skills such as leadership and effectively presenting your viewpoint, and you can learn from each other's perspectives and expertise. The projects not only enhance your learning experience but also offer the opportunity to positively impact society.

ISBEP teams work in Matrix, a vibrant learning environment with many (prototyping) facilities where you can conceptualize ideas, have meetings and develop your prototypes.

Are you interested then come to the ISBEP info event, where you will learn about what an ISBEP at TU/e innovation Space entails. The challenges for the upcoming semester will be presented at the pitch event, and you can meet the challenge owners.

  • ISBEP is planned in Q1+Q2 and Q3+Q4 in timeslot D. Coach activities and workshops are planned on Wednesday afternoon and Friday morning. Note that your attendance is expected since you work as professionals in a team and collaboration is key.
  • You work in Interdisciplinary teams (3-6 persons)
  • Language: English
  • Projects delivered by TU/e start-ups, researchers and industry, so called challenges
  • Regular meetings with the challenge owner and bi-weekly update presentations
  • The final presentations will take place in two weeks before the regular examweeks of Q2 or Q4. This will offer you enough time to finish your departmental deliverables before graduating at your department.
  • The assessment of ISBEP05 focuses on growth throughout the semester, on our selected learning objectives. You will self-assess a number of times, receive validations of these assessments by the process coach, and receive a final assessment at the end of the project. If you comply with our expectations of growth, and if you score sufficient on the ISBEP Rubrics, you will receive a pass. Next to that you will be also assessed for the BEP part at your department.
