Program Trajectories - Expertise Areas
Nearly all Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence projects aim at constructing models that partly replace human analysis and decision making by:
- accurately describing real-life phenomena, structures, processes, and dynamics from data,
- predicting future behavior, outcomes, or states,
- letting users derive concrete decisions and actions to achieve or prevent desired or undesired behavior or outcomes, and
- possibly even recommending or prescribing the actions necessary to achieve desirable behavior or outcomes.
Constructing such models is a challenging and creative process in which the engineer – you – bears responsibility for the intended and unintended capabilities of the models. The different expertise areas provide you with different techniques and methods from different angles to master this process.
